Simply Native Japan is an importer and curator of handmade crafts from Japan. Working closely with the artisans, Simply Native Japan aims to introduce traditional Japanese crafts into the modern lifestyle.
Founded in 2016 by Yukino Matsumoto, the daughter of a traditional Kimono (Japanese clothing textiles) family, Simply Native Japan represents the belief that beauty in the simplest form can be found in craftsmanship and its connection to the artisan.
For Sydney Craft Week Simply Japan will have an artisanal range for sample and sale and offer consulting on how Japanese products would suit contemporary installations or projects.
To celebrate Sydney Craft Week Simply Native Japan is having a pop-up store where you can try and buy a niche range of Japanese arts, crafts and supplies.
The friendly Simply Native Japan team will be on site to guide you through the benefits of items such as best hand-fitting gardening shears or a choice of your favorite beautifully packaged incense and many more things that will complement your home or business decor.
Additionally there will be a great range and samples of artisanal professional architectural materials and examples of how this collection of crafts and craft supplies would suit contemporary installations or projects.
Stay connected for upcoming workshop and secret sale information.
Workshops are sponsored by Barefoot who will be providing some easy drinking wines for an arrival drink.
